Indexing & Abstracting
Clinical Biomedical Communications (CBC) is committed to improving the discoverability, accessibility, and citation tracking of published research through accurate metadata, persistent identifiers, standardized references, and responsible citation practices.
Indexing, Linking, and Discoverability
Accurate referencing is essential to enable proper indexing, linking, and citation tracking through major databases such as Crossref, Scopus, and PubMed. Authors are strongly encouraged to include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) wherever available, as DOIs provide permanent and reliable links to published content.
Carefully prepared references enhance the credibility of the manuscript and facilitate accurate indexing, discoverability, and citation of the published work.
DOI and Metadata
After final production, each published article is assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring that the work is instantly citable.
Articles are prepared with metadata to support accurate indexing by search engines and academic databases. Metadata optimization helps ensure that published research can be discovered, cited, shared, and tracked effectively.
Reference Style
Clinical Biomedical Communications (CBC) follows a numbered citation style.
References should be indicated by numbers in square brackets within the text and numbered consecutively in the order in which they first appear in the manuscript.
Where appropriate, author names may be mentioned in the text, but the corresponding reference number must always be included.
Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations (LTWA) to ensure standardization.
Citation Integrity
Authors should verify all citations against original sources to avoid errors. Excessive or irrelevant citations should be avoided, and references should be directly related to the content of the manuscript.
Relevant literature should be cited accurately and responsibly. Excessive self-citation or coordinated citation practices intended to manipulate metrics are strongly discouraged.
Note on Indexing Status
The journal supports indexing, discoverability, linking, and citation tracking through accurate metadata, DOI assignment, and standardized reference practices. Confirmed indexing databases should be listed only when formally verified by the journal or publisher.
